The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to understand "commercially proven" and innovative solid waste processing technologies that can be used to manage all or a portion of municipal solid waste generated in the County. The RFI is also intended to inform interested parties of the County's interest, assess the feasibility of various solid waste management options, and identify parties that have the experience, financial capability, and commercially proven innovative technology to effectively manage the solid waste generated in the County.

Interested firms are invited to respond to this RFI with their solution for managing solid waste generated in the County. The County is open to hearing from interested parties offering different points of view on the components outlined above.

On July 15, 2023, a question was asked regarding whether the County has ever performed an audit on the local residential Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). The response was that documents related to a 2011 MSW Composition Study - Final Audit Report and a Waste Sort Report_Clean - CC Municipal Solid Waste Composition Study2018-2019 have been uploaded to BidSync.
